In the Privacy Policy , we (Pulsar Informatique or the company) explain how we collect, use, disclose and process personal data on behalf of our customers (Merchant) in the context of our application MevConnect running on the Clover point-of-sale system Clover POS . This Privacy Policy does not apply to Pulsar Informatique's privacy practices in other contexts.
The processing of personal data by the company in the context of our application is governed by this Privacy Policy and by our agreements with Merchants. In the event of any conflict between this policy and a customer agreement, the latter shall prevail to the extent legally permissible.
This policy does not replace the privacy policies that a Merchant may be required to provide to its own customers, employees, or other individuals.
Informations collected
We may collect personal data from or on behalf of Merchants. Merchants determine the extent of personal data transferred or collected, and the information received may vary by Merchant. We usually collect :
1. Informations collected when a customer makes a payment
When a customer makes a payment through a Clover POS,the following information may be collected:
- Payment card used
- Name associated with payment card
- Business location
- Date and time of transaction
- Transaction amount
- Details of goods or services purchased
We also collect all the necessary information to comply with the requirements of Revenu Québec when using the MEV-WEB.
2. Additional informations provided through the Clover POS
Additional informations can be collected, such as :
- E-mail address or telephone number for sending receipt
- Marketing preferences (e.g. newsletter subscription)
- Loyalty program
- Physical address for delivery
- Additional informations: date of birth, preferences, reviews, returns, etc.
We also collect all the necessary information to comply with the requirements of Revenu Québec when using the MEV-WEB.
3. Informations collected on Merchant staff
We may collect data on Merchant staff, such as :
- Clock-in and clock-out times
- Tips received
- Access code Revenu Québec
- GST and QST numbers (for printing on receipts)
4. Additional informations provided by Merchants
Example :
- Customers: e-mail addresses, telephone numbers, purchase history
- Staff: contact details, schedules, sales history
How we use the data we collect
We use personal data to provide the application's features, including processing and transmitting transactions to Revenu Québec via the MEV-WEB.
Other uses :
- Sending important news (updates, security alerts)
- Performance and application enhancement
- Replies to requests for support or complaints
We may also use personal data in the following cases:
a) Compliance with the law or a legal procedure
b) enforce terms of use
c) Protection of our rights or those of third parties
d) prevent or investigate fraudulent or illegal activities
Data sharing
We may share personal data with :
- The Merchant involved
- Clover POS (voir leur politique : clover.com/privacy-policy)
- Third parties authorized by the Merchant
- Third-party service providers
- Our subsidiaries and affiliates
We may also disclose data if required to do so by law or as part of a transaction (merger, acquisition, etc.), provided that the transferee complies with this policy.
We retain your data for as long as you use our service. Then, for legal obligations, we keep your personal data for six years following the last date of use of MEV Connect.
We do not sell, as defined under CCPA, your Personal Information to third parties. In the preceding twelve (12) months, we have not sold any personal information.
Your rights and choices
Data subject rights
Under applicable law, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data. Such requests should be addressed to the Merchant .
If Clover is the data controller, please contact it as indicated in their own policy.
The user may, at any time, access their personal information, correct it, update it, or even delete their data.

If you have any complaints about our data Privacy Policy, please contact us using the details below.
Protection of Minors
We do not collect personal information from children, as the application is not intended for individuals under the age of 13.
Cookies
We do not use cookies or similar tracking technologies.
Privacy and Policy updates
We may change our Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes will be indicated by an updated effective date.
